Warrior Surf Foundation RUCKATHON

  • James Island County Park - Wappoo Shelter 871 Riverland Drive Charleston, SC, 29412 United States (map)

Our Mission

At the Warrior Surf Foundation, our mission is to enhance veterans' and their families' physical and mental well-being through free surf therapy, wellness coaching, and community support. We harness the healing power of the ocean and the transformative experience of surfing to promote mental and physical well-being, resilience, and community for those who have served our country.

Why We Ruck

The Warrior Surf Ruckathon is more than a fundraising event—it’s a way to walk shoulder-to-shoulder in support of those who’ve served. And it's a perfect way to connect people to the values we stand for while making a tangible impact on veterans’ lives 💪

🏄 Every dollar raised from our Ruckathon will help us put a Veteran through our 12-week program, which includes surf therapy, wellness coaching, yoga, and community for Veterans & their families.

🙌 Volunteer at the Event!

We'd love your help getting everything in order for our first Ruckathon ever. Visit our volunteer page to start the process.

On the morning of March 1st, expect to be at the Wappoo Shelter in JI County Park by 8:30am. We begin our ruck at 9AM. Load up your backpack, hit the trail, and ruck for a cause! More details to come.

Let’s come together to honor our veterans while making a difference—one step at a time!

What is Rucking? Rucking is simply walking while carrying weight in a backpack, also known as a "rucksack". This low-impact exercise, inspired by military training routines, is a fun and healthy way to honor our veterans. So, throw some rocks in a backpack, and join us!
